Cairo painting – pablosironic

Why this picture?
It’s one of my paintings from my “cairo paintings”.
Where did the idea come from?

If you’re working a lot in different places, your moving in the outside changes also in a moving in the inside. I do a lot of abstract art but these paintings are more sensual to me. It depends on how much space you have in the current area you’re living in. This painting is really flat colored and no room depth is created, which I’m always prefering. But in fact I used to cover the center to hide the space I created. Two planes. One in the background, independent. And one in the foreground dealing with the headline “cairo paintings”.

Why does this picture mean so much to you?

The process leads me in a new way of thinking. To cover up. To cover up space to create independent space. Try to think about one thing you like for example in a room. And then start to hide it in your mind. What is happening to the room? It becomes better.

What more can you tell us about your art?

I like to tell stories. Even if I’m a shy person and never speak. If you ask people they would describe me as the opposite. So if I describe my art to someone, the words are meaningless. It’s funny because the only people I get along with are the ones never asking me anything about it. How can I describe something with words when it’s really not important because the painting has no meaning. How should it if nothing ever means anything to me. It does not mean that I have no emotions or no particular attitude in general, it means to create space and that is the only thing I’m aiming for. To dissolve borders. To replace, to create space.
