Why did you pick this picture?
This picture is meaningful to me, my dad past away 2 months ago, so i decided to pay tribute to him, to the life. So i picked a really colorful fish, the guppy and i added to the scene natural elements like little rocks and leafs. The result is something delicate, colorful, fragile as the life can be.
Where did the idea for this art come from?
I started to paint tridimensional hyperrealism a year ago, this art is inspired by the great japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori, his work is so full of peace, that it’s something that i needed in my life by then and now i’m trying to add that feeling to my work. This art is maded in a severeal layers of resin and painted with acrylic in anything that can contain a liquid, even coffee leafs.
What does this art mean to you?
A big step up for me. I got stucked painting dark and melancholic watercolor paintings, and that was a reflect of my life by then, but now i can do and reflect a part of my soul that i thought was lost, is almost to see the world like a child once again.
What can you tell us about yourself?
Well, i’m 32 years old, i’m born and raise in Cali, Colombia. I’ve been painting and drawing since i was 4, inspired by my grandfather who was the most incredible artist that i ever meet, he told me once that i can’t never stop thinking as an artist do, because only the artist can see the beautiful things in everything. I know there is a long way to go in arts for me, but i still trying, i still dreaming.
What more can you tell us about your art?
Well, now i’m selling my work as a brand, 3d fish works, to keep away the dark image of “Judas”, my artist name, nothing biblical, just the initials of my name combined. All this because i’m trying to reach another public, and give to them good vibrations, happiness.
