Chaotic Mind – roxy_artwork

Why did you pick this picture?
I chose this picture because it shows what I love to do. This Image represents the day I discovered mono-printing and the style of art I want to pursue.
Where did the idea for this art come from?

I would say it came from my mind. I just created something from my imagination. I don’t think there is a way I could describe how I come up with this kind of image. I do know that

I Always tend to create something out of nothing. I start with a small image and just start adding more to it until I know it’s complete.
Why does this art mean to you?

I am a harsh critic to my own artwork and I been told by mentors and students, so to be proud of something I did is an accomplishment to me. This image shows my way of getting comfortable with this style of art.
What can you tell us about yourself ?

I live in Texas and I have been studying art for 5 years at a university. I am also a painting instructor at Michaels. Art to me is my life and is something I do everyday to get better. I wouldn’t call myself a great artist but I can say i am an artist because I am addicted to creating everyday.
What more can you tell us about your art?

If I could describe in one word the type of art I love to do it would be chaotic.

I feel like a lot of people don’t know what mono-printing is and I think that is why I find it very intriguing. My type of art has many steps to create a picture like this.

It involves imagination, time and patience. I use mixed media for most of my pieces it’s all oils ,acrylic and pens
