For the sake of nature: lakes – sheisdizzy

Why did you pick this picture?

This picture has been receiving very different perspectives and ideas as to what the process was like. I just thought it would be interesting enough to go ahead and talk about.

Where did the idea come from?

This piece creates a form of dialog that is normally centered around nature and the inspiration involved in the choice of colors.

Why does this mean so much to you?

These pieces form a sense of tranquility in watching the paint dry and has become something that viewers can see differently each time approached.

What can you tell us about yourself?

To me, For the Sake of Nature: as a painting as well as a series, forms a sense of tranquility while viewing, as it emphasizes process over product. The process is a form of therapy in a way. The product is the satisfying outcome.

I like to consider myself a free spirit creator, meaning I enjoy tapping into as many artistic mediums as I can to create the proper piece for a specific concept. Art is my passion and is in everything I do.

What more can you tell us about your art?

I enjoy learning new techniques and coming up with unique ways to express ideas. Some of which include spilling paint, the use of mixed media, and painting with my bare hands or feet. To me, the work I create is a direct reflection of who I am and how I think. It is the truest and most honest form of communication between myself and the public.
