Father and Kardia – dezireearts

Why did you pick this picture?

I picked this picture because this is one of my favourite paintings. It is different from my other artworks as it weighs more on the spiritual and surreal side of life.

Where did the idea for this art come from?

This is idea came to me when I was designing a cover for my novel. I wanted to do a painting that would stand out from others and would speak volumes about the book. The painting is is one of Father and Kardia, he is showing her creation.

What does this art mean to you?

This art holds a special place in my heart because it reflects my thoughts as child, my imaginative mind and obsession with the universe. I have always wandered what creation was like (be it religious or scientific). I pictured myself walking on clouds, seeing the galaxies and talking to God. It depicts the relationship of a Creator and his creation.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I am a 21-year-old artist and author. I’m crazy in love with art (not just painting, but all other art forms) and I want to do this for the rest of my life. I’m doing a BA in Art Therapy, and I hope one day I can open an art school so the next generation can fall in love like I have.

What more can you tell us about your art?

My art cannot be categorised. But if there is something in common it is that whatever I paint always serves a purpose, it’ll always have a story (whether its mine story or another’s).
