Free fall –

Why did you pick this picture?

This piece is called ‘Free Fall’ and is supposed to replicate the gradual feeling of falling in to a deep sleep, followed by the sudden feeling of falling and being awakened.

Where did the idea come from?

I was experiments with watercolour and found that the colours I was using looks ‘space like’ – the rest kind of fell in to place.

What does this art mean to you?

My recent watercolour and pen pieces are part of a new series. They are special to me because it’s completely different to anything I have done before.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I am 24 year old, Brit, I studied BA(hons) Fine Art at the University for the creative arts, in Canterbury 2011-2014. I finished university with my degree, barely. I was never never very interested in my choice of course as I found the entire tuition pretentious. Nevertheless, I managed to graduate! After university I moved away from England, to Germany. I started working as a civilian for the British Army in a small German city called ‘Oberstdorf’. After a year or so working with the army in Germany I met my wife. I decided that I would stop working for the army and concentrate on a career that interested me and gave me drive. For the past year I have been working entirely as a full time freelance artist and have fully enjoyed every minute!

What more can you tell us about your art?

I sell my original work and Prints online. I also accept commissions and work on regular projects around the city, I intend to continue and grow in to my choice of career over time. It is very challenging but will be worth it in the long run
