Why did you pick this picture?
This is a tree located at the house where my grandmother used to live. I spent most of my childhood there, it’s a place that means a lot to me.
Where did the idea come from?
I have a project called “Uma Dose” (One Shot), where I design shots of inspiration. In this drawing I wanted to honor my grandmother.
What does this picture mean to you?
It’s been five years since my grandmother passed. I choose the title “Classic Lemonade” because after spending hours on this tree swing, I took an entire jar of my grandmother’s lemon juice, and it was the best I’ve ever had. I thought it would be a good way to preserve her memory.
What can you tell us about yourself?
I’m from São Paulo, Brazil. I’m 26 and work with advertising. I have always liked art and I’ve found in pointillism a good way to express myself. In the future, I intend to carry on with this project using ink and canvas.
What more can you tell us about your art?
I started this project to portrait issues of life that I find relevant, always in a lightly mood. I think it’s a good way to improve creativity and it’s kind of a therapy to spend hours creating your own world inside glasses.
