Lupita Nyongo – worldofcartoons

Why did you pick this picture?

I choose this drawing because I thought it represents best the idea I was going for. Singular individual dots against the units of the hands. We are free to do as we please, yet our hands are the ones that actually do the activity. And what if your hands are tied, could the mind still be able to do what he wanted?

Where did the idea come from?

The idea came from a project I was doing about celebrating African beauty.

What does this art mean to you?

Each dot has the responsibility to fill an empty space, that small dot is critical to see the full picture. Each drawing is made out of thousands of tiny dots gathered together to fill a supreme purpose- to create the essence of someone.

What can you tell us about yourself?

My name is Odelia Rozenfeld, I am 24 and I have traveled the world, inspiring me with my art. At my free time, I am also a fashion designer and poet.

Poetry blog:

What more can you tell us about your art?

I don’t just create art for my own satisfaction, I really want to make a difference in this world with my art and hopefully inspire people.
