a young girl reading – chrisanthypetra_art

Why did you pick this picture?

every new piece outshines my others for me.”a young girl reading” is a tribute to Fragonard piece and is my latest one.

Where did the idea come from?

this piece is part of “innocence series” and the idea is so simple…children are innocent and I just love to paint them with the lightest medium which of course is watercolors.

What does this mean to you?

is one more “child” of mine

What can you tell us about yourself?

i am a Greek artist. Scholarship awarded on 2015,student of painting at Athens school of fine arts.I also have a mathematics degree and I have worked as a math teacher and a bank employee in the past but my ambition is to make a living out of painting some day!

What more can you tell us about your art?

i admire big painters, Botticelli,Fragonard, Sargent Turner Schiele Morandi and also Tuymans,Thiebaud are my favorites. That admiration push me to paint and study painting everyday…
