Wolftastic – draw2inspire6_

Why did you pick this art?

I chose this drawing because it expresses the use of bright colours and detail making the wolf look really eye catching and realistic. The rest of my pen coloured drawings have the colours limited and blended whilst this drawing the mark making combined with colour limitations helps to create a powerful drawing.

Where did the idea for this art come from?

I have always been drawn to bright colours and anything that catches your eyes and make you wonder. So I decided to use an intelligent animal like a wolf which they howl to be heard and noticed. This made me think about using selective bright colours which makes your eyes have an instant reaction.

What does this art mean to you?

This drawing and the rest of the animal drawings I have done inspire makes me feel so peaceful when drawing. Being able express myself using pen only and helping me come out of my comfort zone.

What can you tell us about yourself?

Apart from my love for drawing I enjoy writing stories based on real life situations. It’s another way I can express my thoughts and feelings. I have been drawing since I was 7 years old. I remember drawing the same dog over and over again because I wanted it to look just right. As I grew up I always wanted to improve and I still hope to with hard work, determination and confidence.

What more can you tell us about your art?

I used to draw using coloured pencils but then I wanted to try something different. So I came across pen art and ever since then haven’t looked back and will never go back to using coloured pencils. I developed my art style using pen so it’s something I’m proud of.
