Bathing raccoon – Oksana Savytska

Why did you pick this picture?

I find this idea cute, since raccoon really like to “wash” things and this is my vision of them taking a bath

Where did the idea come from?

It just randomly popped in my head during a walk 🙂 there’s no deep story behind it. It’s actually quite common for me to come up with something for my next art at totally random times

What does this art mean to you?

I really like to watch different funny videos with animals. I really find them cute and sweet 🙂 I like the idea of putting animals in situation you’d normally not expect or imagine them to be, yet that would show their personality.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I’m a 28 years old freelance artist from Ukraine. Actually I have Master’s Degree in Cynology, while art was just a hobby for me. It was always just a way to get away from reality and express myself, nobody really taught me to draw It all changed when I’ve met my husband who has helped me grow as an artist and actually realize that this is something that I want to pursue as a career.

What more can you tell us about your art?

For as long as I can remember I was always making doodles and sketched. There was even a period when I worked as a tattoo artist 🙂 and now for almost 3 years I’m using watercolor as my main media, though I also like colored pencils and drawing on textile with acrylic paints. Since I’ve just recently realized how much I love art I’m still to find my niche , but for now I want to try as many things as I possibly can
