magic horse – Yeison Martín Canchari

Why did you pick this picture?

I chose this image because I liked the original very much, it had some very striking colors and I wanted to do it and I also had a job to do on a canvas so I decided to make this image because I was very impressed by the combination of colors clear that they had and choose to paint it my way and give some touch-ups to the original.

Where did the idea come from?

I had a job in the school that consisted in making a painting with watercolors and acrylic so after looking for many images I found that and I was encouraged

What does your art mean to you?

it means a lot because it is my first time that I try to make a painting in that way and with those materials, I spent too much time, several hours and I did not even want to sleep because I liked the finish I was wearing, it is a very special painting for me also because I did it with someone very important to me and helped me get some materials I needed and thanks to that I could finish it.

What can you tell us about yourself?

My name is Yeison Martin Canchari, I am 17 years old, I am from Peru, I like to draw since I was little but I did not practice it very much until two years ago that I started to take it seriously and try to improve by working hard and asking for a lot of advice. This year I finish high school and I plan to prepare to practice a profession which is architecture or enter the University of Fine Arts. I hope to fulfill my future goals and be able to master several styles of drawing either pencil

What more can you tell us about your art?

I think I already counted the most important thing is to try to master several styles of drawing.
Currently I make graphite drawings mainly because I am not used to other techniques, but little by little I am practicing them to use them as it is in the case of this “magic horse” painting that is made with watercolors and acrylic.
