Why did you pick this picture?
Out of all my World Drawing Challenge pieces, I think this is my favourite because although I initially didn’t like the design of the piece, it grew on me and now I love it! I also love Mexico and I really want to be able to visit one day.
Where did the idea for this art come from?
I decided to do the World Drawing Challenge series because I love geography and I love art, so what would be better than combining the two?!
What does this art mean to you?
Even though this piece is a very small part of a very large (an still growing) project, I love it because it represents what is, in total, hours f hard work and it is what has helped me the most to grow my Instagram account.
What can you tell us about yourself?
I’m from the UK and I’m currently studying A-levels in Geography, French and Spanish. I hope to go to university to study environmental geography and eventually work in foreign aid. I love culture, language and art and I spend more time than is healthy reading!
What more can you tell us about your art?
I love to draw mandalas because I’m a bit of a neat freak and I can’t stand things being messy, but I also love to be creative. When I was younger, my grandma and I would sit together drawing for hours, and I think that paid off! I would love to be able to grow my following and eventually make art a part-time job!
