Why did you pick this picture?
It is a picture I was commissioned to make, but it is also one of my favorites because of their happy expressions.
Where did the idea for this art come from?
I wanted to encourage others to consider adopting a special needs animal. They are often overlooked but if you give them a chance they will give you a lifetime of happiness.
What does this art mean to you?
It means a lot me because I did spend about 6 days on and off on it. It excites me to see how my skills improved since I was younger.
What can you tell us about yourself?
I’m a 21 year old and I live on a ranch in Fort Worth, Texas. Also, I suffer from Gastroparesis, which means I can’t digest food. I am so blessed to draw for a living. Unfortunately, I’m constantly ill and do not get out of town often. I also have 3 chickens that I raised from eggs and they are my babies! They are spoiled rotten, I even catch them grasshoppers everyday.
What more can you tell us about your art?
I am self taught and have been drawing since I was little. I’ve always enjoyed realistic art because even as an artist I’m not exactly “creative” but more technical. I primarily use colored pencil but subjects other than animals I use Pan Pastel as a base. It makes me so happy to see the joy it brings to people when I draw their pets or relatives. I especially love learning about each pet and their quirks. Every animal is so unique!

I am thrilled with how Theo me Tink came out. 😍 . This is a gift for my customer’s friend Lynne. They adopted both of their frenchies from the same litter and have been close ever since. They love to get together and visit and let all 4 of the kids play. . Theo has cleft palete and is a BIG ham. He is a goofy lil’ guy that loves to play with his ball in the backyard, and he is good at it. . Tink only has one eye and loves to soak up the sun. She was born last year but their were some complications and her eye had to be removed right before Christmas 2016.
