EYE – Sarah ‘Sajo’

Why did you pick this picture?

My main inspiration are people and their emotions. In the face, especially in the eyes you can see everything… sadness, joy, love, anger, and the fact, that someone didn’t drink a coffee today 😀

I chose this drawing also because if you look, you will see in it the story, the curiosity of the world, part of me.

This is an important drawing for me.

Where did the idea for this art come from?

I think I was born with it. My mother said that I started to draw faster than to walk. I just took the crayons and drew. Over time art has become my whole life. In my artwork are a lot of people and face elements such like face, mouth and especially eyes. The idea of such an art is derived from my interest of the human mentality and emotions. This is really a very interesting topic for drawing and painting.

What does this art mean to you?

Everything! It’s my life, my breath, without it I wouldn’t exist. Art is my way of communicating with the world. Art is my way of expressing emotions, the good and the bad. Art is my psychiatrist and kind of therapy. Art is my best friend and confessor. Finaly art is my way of life, it’s my way to work.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I’m 29 years old and come from Wroclaw, Poland. I work in my company – Sajo Art Studio. I paint and draw pictures, try to make a smile on the buyers’ faces 😉

I think the day can not start without a cup of coffee! I’m a coffee maniac 😛 My favorite color is black … and i love to smile. Does it make sense? 🙂

What more can you tell us about your art?

I like to mix different techniques. Paints with glue and crayons, inks with structural paste, etc. It doesn’t always come out very well but the effects are often surprising and this is one of the many advantages of doing art. I’m still looking for my final style. That is good, because it causes me to continue to develop.
