Loneliness – Giulia Renzi

Why did you pick this picture?

when I do art shows I usually expose this painting as one of the first works which lead me to my current art style

Where did the idea come from?

I saw “Lost in Translation” and the story and a particular scene hit me, made me thinking of how lonely people could be, how distant even if they’re actually shoulder to shoulder physically.

What does this art mean to you?

as I said I think this is one of my most important pieces since it lead me to my current art style. Since this moment i stopped copying others and started my very own art.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I’m a 20 years old girl from south Italy and I attend art school since I was 13. i am an Italian art student, passionate about many things, madly in love with many others. But if I had to say something really relevant about myself I’d could just say that I’m an artist and that would me more than enough.

What more can you tell us about your art?

I use my art to express things I can’t express by words. I’m not great at dealing with my emotions but I’m fine at painting. In my art emotions become physical, sorrows become bruises, love becomes open wide eyes looking at each other. Everything speaks a lot louder in art
