Falling angels – kelvin ashly francis

Why did you pick this picture?

The reason I choose this picture is because with this image I only ever intended it to be a simple study to see how well I could document it and make a tutorial on form. But while painting I had a concept appear to me in my head.

Where did the idea for this art come from?

Around the time of the red sun earlier this year I was inspired by this interesting phenomenon. I wanted to capture the errie out of world feeling I got from this new atmosphere. Also i always liked angels patricuarlly the anime ah my goddess and heavens lost property and having an idea of holy creatures falling from grace and one praying for forgiveness just appealed to me a lot. From the initial enviroment I went through a lot of concepts that took forever to finally settle on the enviroment i had. In the end didn’t get it to be 100% what I envisioned but it turned out well.

What does this art mean to you?

It’s a lot of progress from when I first started doing digital art and hopefully will mean a sign of consistent quality

What can you tell us about yourself?

As well as a digital artist from london I am a recent MA animation graduate who’s always been into creativity. I hear I’m a good storyteller so I one day want to be able to create my own stories through comics and digital art and be able to at least be able animate short teasers to bring my world’s to life even futher. I really prefer to capture women I prefer to stare at a woman then a man and that’s reflected in my art. My favourite anime series Is jojo bizzare adventure. All my teeth are sweet, I always want improve, when I even have time for games I play on the hardest mode for a challenge¬† (unless it’s a less exp and one hit restart the whole game type modes I don’t have that much free time) I have been on TV two times when younger

What more can you tell us about your art?

Every piece of art I make feels like a study and I don’t believe I have fully developed a style yet but I’m getting close. There all visual marks in the world that say I was here and that i existed.
