Saquon white out – Robert McFetridge

Why did you pick this picture?

I chose this painting because I really enjoyed working on it. Also, Saquon Barkley is probably the hottest name in sports right now. He’s likely to be the number one overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft.

Where did the idea come from?

The idea for this piece was to create multiple layers that help to add a sense of depth to the artwork and make the subject appear pop off the painting.

What does this art mean to you?

This artwork means a lot to me because he is a local kid that went to the same high school as me, Whitehall High School in Pennsylvania.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I played division 2 college football at Millersville University and had a love for art and sports ever since I was around 5 years old so I combined them. I am currently accepting commissions and teaching advanced high school art. I’ve drawn and painted just about anything clients commissioned me to do but sports are my favorite.

Several of my paintings are officially licensed by the NFL through the Deacon Jones Foundation and can be viewed at http://www.deaconjones.com
