Evolution Of The Joker – Jesse Farrell

Why did you pick this picture?

This shows off some of my portrait skills, although this piece was done last year, I have gotten a lot better at portraits since then. I used to draw only with pencil but now discovered using charcoal for portraits is much more effective to get the darker tones..

Where did the idea come from?

I love the different styles of each actor that play the joker and thought it would be very interesting to see them side by side.I usually just draw with charcoal which would be only black and white but with also enjoy putting touches of colour with it.

What does this art mean to you?

Art in general means so much to me it’s always been a hobby and I want it to become a profession. I have always had a talent for art from a young age but never thought it would become such a huge part of my life. I wasn’t very book smart when it came to school but I hope to prove you don’t have to be to have a great enjoyable career.

What can you tell us about yourself?

I’m 20 years of age from Wexford,Ireland. Recently started practicing tattooing and this is 100% the career I want and will make happen! Tattooing is very difficult at first because you can’t use loose lines and tidy them later. Every line has to be so precise, which is what I am trying to learn now by changing my drawing style.

What more can you tell us about your artwork?

I will be hoping to be a very successful tattoo artist in the near future, and I am looking forward to the challenges that follow. I am excited to try new styles and hopefully find my own unique style. So for anyone who would like to see my tattoo art follow @jessefarrellart Thank you!!
